Sat, Sep 8, 5K leg of team tri. Goal <=18:45

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

          Leg 6 - 6.4 miles - 53:00 - the warm-up leg

Leg 7 - 8.5 miles - <1:10:00 - "not a flat part on this leg". Try to find a rhythm and leave something for leg 8

Leg 8 - 4.4 miles - <36:26 - 3rd year in a row of running this 4.4 miles of pure hell. if I have anything left, I hope to PR this leg.

          Total: 19.3 miles - <2:39:26.

Very hilly 19.3 miles. Approaching it as a training run so <2:40 is a good effort for me on those hills. First time running Lake Winnie and not being on Bill Feeney's team. So, a little sad.

Sat, Sept 8 - Moose Mountain Trail Marathon.  My first trail 26.2 - WooHoo!

My marathon fitness is lacking, but I got in enuf long runs to cover the distance.   My heel is still stupid so I'm in it to finish even if it takes me all dam day.   After Saturday I'm taking a running break, this every day pain has reached it's limit.

I'm relieved that it's a trail race and that's where I'm happiest this season.  Big grin

Sunday 9/9.  Crystal Lake 13.1.  Goal is 1:21:30.  Long shot but what the hell.

Lets run PR half marathon pace! Why the hell not.

Well, sure. A 25K is about half of a marathon. See 25K is 750 cubic liters (with the reasonable estimate that the course is 3m wide and 1cm deep), which is 750m cc. Converting to barrels using google, we get 750 * (8.52167911 * 10^-6) * 1000000, which google says is -4499999914.78 barrels.

(This is surprising, frankly, but google says so, so it must be true.)

Let's estimate a barrel at $95.30, so that gives us -$428,849,991,879.

I saw somewhere that in Minnesota it's about $250/ton, so we have 1,715,399,967.52 tons.

I don't know what you weigh, so I'll guess 100 pounds. That gives us 34,308,000,000 Candices.

Darn it. I know I'm getting close to the answer now, but I'm not sure how to convert Candices to half marathons.

(PS: Actually I think they're negative Candices, so probably they have to run backward, but, I'm getting confused here.)

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

Saturday Sept 8, 100k, Pine Creek Challenge, PA.  Goal:  Finish

No, I get it. That's like being constipated, right?

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

Bradbury Bruiser 12 mile trail Race

Goal: Get Bruised and become a BRADASS (finish all 3 in the Summer series and you get this kickass sweatshirt)

9/6 Powerade Invitational, Chattanooga TN, 5k XC, goal: <16:48,  finish in the top half of the field.

                                This was a bad idea.
