5000m on Univ Akron's 300m track. It's 3 heats of 30 runners with age graded scoring. I'm in the fast heat and hope not to get lapped before the third mile.

      Goal: sub-18:15, top 10

I am going to Callaway Gardens Marathon in Pine Mountain GA.  I have no goals worth writing.  Let's say fitness check for 26.2 on Sunday.  'tis time to set a benchmark.

          Securian Frozen Half Marathon

          St Paul, MN

Fitness check. Can't really be more than that at this point in the year. Gonna try to run with my friend who is pacing the 1:30 group. Maybe run close to my PR, at least, if I fall off from him.

Houston Half Marathon, the open race on sunday 1/30, not the USA champs on saturday, sadly, i'll be watching Ryan Hall wipe the floor with everyone, though. Goal sub 1:16:00, and beat all women, since all the fast ones are running on saturday.

greaso, you could always come and pace me again instead Wink

Ben told me you were running the full.

1/29  Windburn Six in the Stix    6 Hour   Bartlett, IL   Goal: 1OA (female)

I had all these mileage goals, and plotted out all my pacing for the 2.28 mile loops, but they sent us an e-mail that said the path would be in the same condidtion as last year.  This means snow hasn't been removed all year, and it will be right below our knees.  This led to some crazy low mileage last year, so there is no reason this year should be any different.  It is a small, local fatass, so I think a win could happen.

C'mon ppl, remember the rules. You gotta declare your goal here for it to count, if you plan to win in Houston tomorrow morning. So post it here fast.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

i'm a bit of a wuss now after spending 4 winters in texas. im on the treadmill if it gets below 30 and i doubt you could guarantee +30 weather in MN in january so youll have to come south or wait for spring if you need me to pace. decided on half since basically the start on my training for this season was your wedding and didn't think i could get enough base for a decent marathon. i should have been watching you compete at the Half Champs this morning, you could have hung with some of those girls. the nice loop course was good for viewing, saw the leaders about 5 times, less running/walking than when ben and i watched them in New York in '07. stay warm.

                      Heh.

The course was 11.8, not 13.1. Stupid cop parked at the wrong intersection for the turn around. So Ben actually OTQ'd Wink

Fucking blows, I was running great, felt awesome... that's 6:47 pace which would have worked out to 1:28:51. Almost exactly a 2 min PR.

                      Bummer.

Greaso, our goal half for the spring is in TN...just saying Wink Good luck tomorrow, kick ASS!

Candice, see how Leah did today?  1:17 HM.  And she's bummed.

Yea, I saw. Her PR is around 1:15 I think.

                            Noshville after? Smile

18:08, 26th place for men (age adjusted 17:16)

Big fail on getting lapped. Winner ran 14:5x and he lapped me (the first time) about 100m before the first mile mark.
