2000 miles of shots in the ass

Howdy folks (Read 612 times)

Back from vacation. Good to see things are still rocking around here. Spent the last 10 days out west visiting old high school and college friends and my brother while scrambling through slot canyons in the San Rafael Swell, backcountry skiing near Lake Tahoe, wine-tasting near Healdsburg, CA, trail running in Reno, and generally washing grad school out of my system. Arrived home last night and slept 12 hours. What happened while I was gone?
Hey, I honeymooned in Healdsburg. Not while you were gone, tho.

We lost our mojo, then we brought it back, now we're getting in touch with our bestiality sides, all while drinking ourselves silly. So basically, business as usual, really. Welcome back.
Healdsburg is a pretty spot. I've got a college friend who lives up in the hills near there on a creek in a redwood grove. It's amazing to pop out of the dark redwoods into the vineyard valleys. My favorite vineyard was Preston in Dry Creek valley...good wine made by good hippies. modified to add: Hey Scout. And yes, the Mojo is back. But where's the gorilla?
Welcome back hippy man. How long's your beard now? Sounds like a good trip. 82 miles is a vacation, huh? Like Trent, I spent part of my honeymoon in Healdsburg. Tho not with Trent and not while you were away. Not much going on here, muse_runner is stalking Trent and our gorilla's gone missing...I'm sure he'll turn up eventually. Same ole, same ole.

Well, I was visiting an old running buddy so we had to relive old times. Actually, I've run more miles with this guy than with anyone else--he grew up down the street from me, and we ran together in high school and college. He beat me up pretty good on some long hills at altitude. He's an avalanche forecaster, and spends his days backcountry skiing, so he's an aerobic monster. Plus, I had to take advantage of George's taper... The beard is indeed getting long...my wife's going to France for 10 days, so she's going to let me keep it until she gets back. She thinks it'll scare off women while she's away. She's probably right.

              You'll ruin your knees!

Glad yer back! Any good vacation pics?

Yeah, it's not the patchouli oil smell, or the constant babbling on and on about people no one else has ever heard of, or your skinny twig arms.....It's all the beard
My buddy took the pics and will send me a CD. I'll post a few when I get it. Chicks don't dig patchouli?
It is weird. I once posted that my shaving cream includes patchouli on another message board. A bunch of chicks responded about how they hate the smell of the stuff. My wife feels differently, thankfully. I guess the important question, though, is whether Muse likes the smell.

I can't stand the stuff. I had to stop going to one of my favorite bars in college because the hippies invaded it (that was about the time craft beers were trendy of all a sudden). I couldn't breathe or taste the beer anymore.
Are you Muse? Didn't think so. Wink

You're just cranky because you didn't do well on the beer quiz yesterday.
...my wife's going to France for 10 days
Neither of you ever do anything interesting or fun. You guys should get out more. Live a little. Seriously that sounds like an awesome trip. I'm jealous. Of both the trip and the mileage--can't wait to see what you do at CMM.

Where in France? I lived in France one year once.
