I had the flu and a cold yesterday - Still have tight chest today.  I make plans to run with my friend Andy at the state park this morning.  We were suppose tp get 1-2 inches of snow on top of the 11 we received a week ago.  Reality is we got 8-10 inches (although failry low moisture).  Luckily for me Andy was a stallion ... well actually I turned him into a plow horse and followed him around for @ 12 miles in 2:15 or 2:20.

Andy is my hero - I would have walked and dropped early w/o him.

Amazingly beautiful with all the snow on the North Shore of Lake Winnebago ... I was hoping for an Abe sighting, as this is his territory.

Yes - I am posting about my Saturdallie run

Any Abe sightings in the outdoors during the months of December, January, February, and March are truly rare.

There was a point in my life when I ran. Now, I just run.

Back beat, the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt

      The Diary of a Once-ran.

My Saturdalie run was short, fast and indoors. I did see a shitload of other runners though.

        Runners run.

I ran through the snowy woods today. My reward was spooking a big ass bald eagle who clearly wasn't expecting company - all 7 foot wingspan of him flew about 20 feet in front of me. Awesome.

But Och! I backward cast my e'e, On prospects drear!
An' forward, tho' I canna see, I guess an' fear!
