OK I messed up the date on the last week's thread.
I also forgot about that other run in Boston this week. I guess it should go in this week's thread
I am breaking Potato Head's rule and going with Kristen/Wannaberunner for an amazing 3:11:31 for the award for this week. Just amazing result in a short running career.
bhearn's PR or Nemo ME's 2 min PR at what turned out to be not too easy day deserves the performance of the week if I went by the book .
Spaniel's courageous finish, Saltydog, and DakotaRR near PRs are worth noting as well, not sure how close Roots came to his PR.
My face is starting to get a bit red now as I missed TMorin's awesome performance too - PR by 6 Minutes

I'll start this week, Running Charlotte Race fest Half Marathon on Saturday. I'll ask Nader to pick a goal for me.
Since Nader probably has not seen this, I am going with a goal of 1:48:00, would be a 3 minute PR, hope this is not sandbagging.

No additional day for Boston?
Not that I'm running it.
I'm running the Ganssett Marathon on the 16th in Rhode Island. Last year I ran 2:50 and change using a run/walk, so my plan is to do the same this year except on only 20-30 miles per week of training (not counting race weeks).
My "training" this year so far:
5 weeks below 10 miles per week.
1 week from 10-20 miles.
4 weeks from 20-30 miles per week.
2 weeks from 30-40 miles per week (both race weeks.)
2 weeks from 40-50 miles per week (both race weeks.)
1 week over 50 miles (includes a 38.5 mile race.)
Far and away the least I've run for a while. But, it should be fun.

Boston Marathon: goal - finish and not walk.
Fail. Walked 3 miles.
2013 goals: Kick some arse. Moreso than 2012.

Boston Marathon: goal - finish and not walk. No, I am not kidding or sandbagging. The thought of actually running that far given how I've been feeling is intimidating. Not that it will stop me from trying an honest 6:00 pace for awhile at least.

The only time I did Boston I attempted a 6 minutes pace from the beginning, passed halfway in 1:18 and finished in 3:15 - I failed at the not walking thing too, I hope you do better than I did.

I'm not running it this year, so you should be in good shape weather-wise.
