First time I heard the word 'buff' was on Survivor. A bandana I'd say.
That's my guess. At any rate, it's a rectangular piece of cloth for sure.

30 inches here and snowing heavily.
The view from my doorstep:
MTA: there's a lot of discussion what to call this big storm in DC. Obama apparently just called it 'Snowmageddon'.
My vote is for Snowtorious B.I.G
meh
We awoke to being snowed in this morning, 6-8" drifted, heavy and wet. No running outdoors today. Time to go fire up the tractor and push a few tons around. Hope Louisville doesn't have this....
The road in front of my house is perfectly clear, and no traffic, much less salt trucks/plows come through. There might be 2-3 inches on the grass.

The sun is melting stuff pretty quick if there's any road showing through to absorb heat so I think it would be runnable...but I'm still off to the TM due to 2 sick kids...
Let me guess, the Republicans don't like Snowmageddon and are threatening to filibuster but have yet to put forth a solution of their own.

More cross training than running due to shoveling but the treadmill is ok. As much as we had here, glad we don't live in DC or Baltimore. Good luck out there.
Sucker. That's why I have a tractor. I could have been drinking beer while I "shoveled" and my resting HR never raised a beat.

For real: what is a buff?
Turns out it is a cylindrical piece of cloth with loads of uses.
It's a cap.
It's a neckerchief.
It's a balaclava.
It's a pirate hat.
It's a pony tail holder.
It's a shirt. It's a sock. It's a glove! It's a hat! But it has other uses, yes, far beyond that. You can use it for carpets, for pillows, for sheets, for curtains! Or covers for bicycle seats!
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
