Nothing much interesting going on for me. Trying to get my BQ this spring so I can keep my Boston every 3 year plan going. I chose the much smaller (and cheaper) Lower Potomac River marathon for my attempt instead of my typical large (and expensive) Shamrock Virginia Beach Marathon.
Just want to correct something I posted a page or two back. Puke's race is on our Friday, not Sunday. It's TOMORROW!!!! starts 6 am.
Here's a link for the event. Haven't found the "tracker" yet, but will look more later.

Don't make excuses for why you can't get it done.
Focus on all the reasons why you must make it happen.

Apparently they are having technical difficulties with uploading the splits due to "no internet coverage at the timing points."
Fingers crossed that Brian is enjoying his adventure!
Results just updated: They captured the 70K times. He was at 9hrs 17min there.
I'll have to check back tomorrow morning. Wish I could set an alarm for a few hours from now to check his progress; but DH works late tonight and has to be back at work at 7 am; so no middle of the night alarm clocks in this house!
Go! Brian! Go!
OK, I know it's me, but I can't find him.
Keep going Puke! Stay strong.
ETA: found him with the search feature. He finished in 13:20:14. WELL DONE. Tell us all about it when you have had a good rest and meal.
DutchieRun the day, or the day runs you.
Thanks for the info, Dutchie. EXCELLENT result!! Eager to hear how it went.
Congratulations, Brian!
MTA: Looking at the pacing they give in the splits, it looks like he ran very consistently throughout. That's a good sign.
Okay, so I had to go look at how this compared to last time for him....."drum roll"...He took more than THREE HOURS off his time!!! That's remarkable, don't you think?
I think it's amazing!
Recalculating...
I'm still alive, had an awesome day, will fill you all in soon, once I finish cleaning all my smelly gear........
I had an awesome day.
Love it!
