"Frost quakes" here so I've been hanging out at the gym with everyone else, just quietly working through my HM plan.

Happy - I hope your cold gets better. Please be careful, especially if it's a chest infection!

Puke - I hope you are resting (on your laurels) ha!

First I've ever heard of a frost quake! Sounds nervewracking!

Nope, not a chest infection. Never had one of those, thank goodness. Just sore throat, sinus congestion, and more goddam sweating than I've ever experienced in my life!! I find running helps clear some of the congestion and I can't really rest since the cold medicine is a stimulant. Had quite a good run today.

Don't make excuses for why you can't get it done.

Focus on all the reasons why you must make it happen.

Phew, I'm glad your cold is under control. Tea (hibiscus), honey and lots of fresh lemon as a nice treat.

Not a lot of sleep on monday night as temps dropped from above freezing to -20s in a few hours. I have never experienced all of the booming and cracking before... Lots of googling "roof collapse" at 2am - luckily not serious and everyone had a good laugh the next day - although some homes and businesses around town have major roof damage -  like my favourite supermarket - several schools have been closed for repair this week. I'm so glad we have recently reinsulated our roof.

        tomorrow 5 miles - treadmill

Yep - under control. Headache that has lasted for days seems to be quiet at the moment. Hope tonight is not a repeat of last night - on ice packs for all the back and neck pains, most concerning of which was the deep left side ache. No idea what that was about.

Your tea recipe sounds good - thanks for the tip.

I'm having to enter this post in bits - still getting used to this Tablet. No internet on the home PC - tech help coming next week.

Frost quakes???  Awesome.  Mind you I get excited with thunderstorms.

Rested? Had a few days off running then got back into it.  Been doing a bit of cycling as well, just to turn the legs over.

Over all mileage has not been much though, did my longest post race run yesterday. Just 16 km.  However been trying to do some more speed work.  Don't know why, got nothing planned for a while.  I guess I just felt like running fast.

Happy - like you I haven't usually let a cold stop me going for a run.  But then again we don't have winters like you guys.  Start of autumn here and max temps of 28 deg C.

On that note, better sign off.

            Have a good week all
