    This is a rant so no replies required.

     

    I just looked at my log and I will be pushing to get to 2k this year. I will need a 300 mile December which was similar to last year's challenge.

     

    How the hell did I let myself get to this sorry state of affairs?

     

    I will get 300 in Dec. I will get 2000 + and I will have some damn discipline about my running and workouts starting Right Fucking NOW!

     

    That is all.

      <smacks C-R upside of head>     You need a plan, son!   What days will you run, where, how long can you set aside?  Can you fit a double day in there?   Do It!

       

      I  guess as you get more bodacious, you begin to lose more brain cells, because there is a limit to how much magnificence your body can house

        You know, since I cannot count on being able to run after my 50 miler in 3 1/2 weeks.

          Another damn NCIS fan.

           

          Plan -

          Run every day. Period. No exceptions

          Run doubles as much as possible but a minimum of 4 days per week (5:30 am wake up gives me 1 hour prior to waking kids for school)

          I will get a good single long run 13+ at least once per week

          I will have discipline on diet.

          Sleep is for losers and coffee is for closers.

           

          That's the basics. Keeping it simple. Like me.

              I haven't looked in a while but would guess that I need 600-700 to get to 2K.  It ain't happening.

               

              So before you go thinking that things are so bad, it could be worse.  You could be me.

                I'm lucky to have hobbled out 10 miles since the Monkey.

                 

                Thankfully, I will not have to work that hard to get to 2000 but this has been as close as that fuckin bunny has been to me in a few years.

                 

                300 in December is doable though...hmmm

                  198.6 miles done here on day 21. So I am just 11.4 miles behind goal, with a couple bigger days later this week.

                        As far as 2k, I've been looking at the numbers this month and this is where things stand:

                        Trent - 1734.8

                        CR - 1691.2

                        mbehr - 1677.9

                         

                        I've been trying my damnest to catch up to Trent but where I think I'm doing good, he's doing better.  That gap isn't closing.  So, yeah, you're not off that bad...you still have plenty of people under you in that category.  You just better keep on your toes because I'm coming from behind and I'm finsihing out the year strong!  Not stupid strong though.

                          Hmmm. 1,634 miles in the book. should I do it? 9.15 miles per day?

                          I have been above the 2000 mark for four straight years.
