Hats off to T-Bone and Croydon, you guys are killing the Pace Bunny Wink Econo, hang in there girl. Doing good for a rookie. Cool

Did, you and I will catch those guys when the weather finally gets better. Big grin I still can't believe those pictures of your bike from the other day. Cool

To those of you who have not replied to the Summer Rides thread, I would like to hear your thoughts pro or con.

Done done done done DONE with the trainer. No, the weather is still craptacular; it'll be months before Ruby the WonderBike sees pavement. But I just can't be on the damn trainer anymore. I lasted 30 minutes yesterday and just couldn't do more.

On the plus side, I got my garage up to 80º with my little woodstove. That's 50º above outdoor temperature; usually I struggle to get 30º up. Sucker was crankin'.

My favorite bike shop had it's 10th birthday party last night, which was a hoot. They cleared out their clothing area and had a girl garage band (The Veloras) playing, and had pizza, cake (ork, Crisco/sugar frosting, oh how I love thee), chips and salsa, and drawings for loot. Didn't win anything, but I still came home with some Ergon grips and 'cross tires that I'll put on the 29er. Next Sunday is the shop's annual Spring Pineapple Bob ride, which features a mix of dirt roads and pavement. They say it's road-bike-safe, but there's gonna be plenty o' snow and gunk left.

I'm thinking of how much to put in to converting my Dad's hybrid (Frank the Hybrid) into a 'cross bike. Should be a fun project.

I understand about the trainer. Rollers for me, I can only do about 30 minutes at a time Tongue If you get your garage that warm, all you need to do is rig a sprinkler and you can have a combo training ride/sauna Cool

With all your bikes do you have room for your car??? Shocked

How close to Nunica, MI are you?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah. I don't. Even without the bikes. It's also my woodshop, where I'm supposed to be building more cabinets for our ongoing kitchen remodel. So, bikes, tablesaws, racks of plywood, drill press, no cars.

'Bout 30 miles. I go through Nunica (such as it is; going through it is quite the non-event) on one of my loops from work. I also go past a near-full-scale replica of Stonehenge.

Thanks WFR! I ran the Ragnar Del Sol relay in Arizona this weekend. The biking has helped my running -- I ran strong. Yes My team won the Mixed Masters division quite decisively.

Heh! My job is to preserve the slope of the YTD Distance graph! Big grin
Plotting revenge marathon. Maybe Napa.
