So guys and gal, I was thinking that maybe it would be fun if we could find a way to meet at an organized ride in order to ride together. I know that Econo and T-bone live on the west coast and it will be very tough for you two to make it this far east. But, I do not know what kind of traveling you do or are able to do. If neither one of you can make it out here, maybe you can find a ride to go on out west.
I have 3 rides to suggest and I am sure there are others:
TOSRV - Tour of the Scioto River Valley, May 10-11, 2008. Leaves Columbus, OH ride to Portsmouth, OH and return the next day. Approximately 220 miles total. Great ride, some hills, expect any kind of weather - it is May in Ohio, need I say more.
MS150 - One of many rides nationwide to collect money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, July 12 & 13 in Lebanon, OH. 75 miles each day. This will be my 6th year. My wife has MS.
This is a great ride, a lot of fun.
Hancock Horizontal Hundred (HHH), Sept 7, 2008, Findlay, OH. If you have never ridden a century before, this is a very good first one to do. We have one monster hill that we climb twice.......drum roll - the overpass over I-75
, it is a pretty flat course.
It is very well supported. This is my club, the Hancock Handlebars.
I am entered in all three.
What do you think??

Excellent idea! It's hard for me to commit this far out. I'll keep the dates open.

Oh wow, what fun! I will look into it. Much later in the summer is more of a possibility.
Plotting revenge marathon. Maybe Napa.

Econo,
If you think you can make it out here, the HHH would be a great choice
Hey Did, you have any thoughts?
And what about you T-Bone?

Durn -- I think I'll be doing a half ironman in Maine (of all places) on Sept 7th -- the Pumpkinman. Doesn't look like I'll make it to Ohio this summer. In the future, though!
Plotting revenge marathon. Maybe Napa.
