How goes it? (Read 133 times)

Man, I buy toe warmers in bulk. I had two pair (well, one pair stickyback toe warmers under my toes, one pair longer-lasting handwarmers above my toes - nice to have shoes with some room in the toebox this time of year!) in my shoes on Sunday, and three (the above, plus full-length footbed warmers) during my epic 9 degree ride. They make cold weather riding possible, as far as I'm concerned. I've been out without them, and gone through numb toes, to hurting toes, to I have toes? toes. Took a half hour in the bathtub to get life back into my piggies after that one.

Shoulder officially OK. Driving a stickshift was a pretty big clue that no real damage was done - just a muscle strain and some bruising. Aleve cut most of the pain. Right now the lump on my shin (shin hitting handlebars during Superman excursion?) hurts more.

Yay, the toe warmers worked! That and the huge improvement in weather (no sleet today!). I lasted only 1.5 hours though (wimp!).
Plotting revenge marathon. Maybe Napa.
