For the 17 other people in this group....

I've finished the states.  Sub4 in 43 states.

If I'm done running, I'm good with that.  It surely was fun to do the states.

If I'm not done running, I may or may not try to pick up the other 7... though I dunno that sub4 would be in that future version of history.

I would also be interested in doing 50 states via ultras.  Looks like with 62 ultras, I'm only 9 states into it.  Hmm.

Not sure if I could financially manage to complete 50, but I've done 3 so far.

I am missing the following 7 for the sub4 sweep...

            Delaware (4:10)

            Maryland (4:50ish)

            South Carolina (4:10)

            Kentucky (4:15)

            North Dakota (4:20)

            New Mexico (4:25)

            Wyoming (4:02)

Until recently, running a sub-4 in a typical road marathon hadn't been a big challenge.  I didn't pick up these seven...those times are ancient... mostly because I didn't make it a priority to return to those places for road marathons.

BTW, which Kentucky marathon did you run? I don't want to run the Kentucky Derby marathon since it's affiliated with animal cruelty.

Louisville.  In October.  Flat course.  It was well-managed back in 1865 when I ran it... I've heard it is still the same.  They are woefully slow to update info on their website.  (for the marathon maniac types, Louisville is a nice double with Indy).  Kentucky also has Hatfield-McCoy, but it has 3 of the 4 Hs that make it a rough choice for a go-fast - it is hot, humid, and hilly.

The fourth H is "high", as in altitude.  Which Goody KY ain't.
