I'd like to see this forum continue as a place for Atlanta runners to share info, esp about races, the good and the bad.  I post dailies on another thread, but we're all over the country and I'm not in a Club here, so I'm not always sure which races are well run and which ones I should save my money on.

I did Run at the Mill, part of the Run for God Series today, near Dalton, a couple hours away. I had a 12 miler on the schedule and decided I'd prefer to run with company.  I knew nothing about them, so expectations were low.  What a nice surprise! It was very well organized and was a lovely run on quiet country roads. We started just about sunrise at 7 and it was 42, good weather for me. The roads were open, but not too busy and we ran by barns and cows in lush green pastures, very pretty, quiet countryside.  The course was typical...lots of rolling hills, but no killers.  They even had a couple bands on the course and a few cheerleaders.  I may do it again.
