As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Lol, I am so tired of this crap damn it. Of course I'm not getting hit like up north, sorry Canadians.
So what else is new? I have had 3 days over 40f, highest being 43, since Oct 27th (my last marathon and it
was 41f at the finish).17th snowfall since Dec 1st came last night but that was a mere 5 inches. Over 40 inches last week.
Bring it on Mother Nature, I am Canadian and you can't break me
I've given up.

My first half marathon of the year is Saturday morning at 10 AM, and coincidentally that is also predicted to be the coldest hour of the entire weekend at 21 degrees, with plenty of fresh snow and ice on the ground and a nice winter breeze. In years past it's been in the 50's or 60's for this race, last year it was a chilly 48, and this year I'm predicting a DNS. Because I don't own any ice skates . . .

Just B.S. your comment reminds of David Spade's character in The Emperor's New Groove - "Bring it on"
Onemile - so sorry you feel that way, I am getting pretty close to that feeling.
Hey... my "normal cold" is your "frigid".

Lol, true.
+1
By Monday we will have 50+ days (normal for an entire winter is 21) of sub-zero lows this winter. That will the third most ever and most since 1935-36. We currently have the 5th highest snow depth on record not because of record snow fall but because NOTHING HAS MELTED.
Yeah....I've pretty much given up. And am damn surly these days.
So true eh Lily? My street last weekend. Snow much fun. We need to pull halfway into intersections to see if a car is coming.
