Reston HM RR - My First Half (Read 97 times)

LRB

Your assessment of your race was put really well.  You also seem to have put things in perspective about what you want to do, and where you want to be and that is always important.

Going into an event injured is always tricky, but it looks like you played your cards about as well as one can short of taking a DNS.

More thanks everyone! I really appreciate it.

Congratulations!  You put in a great race and were really smart about your pacing.  Your finish time was really good for a debut HM especially with your setbacks and time off. Avoiding injuries has always been difficult for me so I can relate to what you went through preparing for this race.  I imagine that you could really be competitive at this distance if you can get a good endurance base established and stayed injury free.

            Thanks for sharing your RR!

Very nice debut!  Congrats on completing your first!  It sounds like you listened to your body really well both in training and in pacing the race, and I'm sure that helped you with that strong finish. Smile  Good luck on your upcoming races and your next HM this fall.
