I ran 10.0 miles on the TM in 1:43:58, at an average pace of 10:24. I changed the speed/pace every half to one mile. Here are the splits:
0.0-.5mile: 5.2mph (11:32)
.5-1.0 mile: 5.3mph (11:19)
1.0-1.5 miles: 5.4mph (11:06)
1.5-2.0 miles: 5.5mph (10:54)
2.0-2.5 miles: 5.6mph (10:42)
2.5-3.0 miles: 5.7mph (10:31)
3.0-3.5 miles: 5.8mph (10:20)
3.5-4.0 miles: 5.9mph (10:10)
4.0-4.5 miles: 6.0mph (10:00)
4.5-5.0 miles: 6.1mph (9:50)
5.0-5.5 miles: 6.2mph (9:40)
5.5-6.0 miles: 6.1mph (9:50)
6.0-7.0 miles: 6.0mph (10:00)
7.0-8.0 miles: 5.9mph (10:10)
8.0-9.0 miles: 5.8mph (10:20)
9.0-10.0 miles: 5.7mph (10:31)
I can now run up to 6.0 miles without fueling or hydrating. On my long runs, I still hydrate every 1.5 miles. Now, when I fuel during my long runs, I do it every 4.5 miles, instead of every 3.0 miles. Today, I had only two energy gels and approximately theee cups of water during my run. Slowly, too slowly for my taste, my body is learning to do more with less.

Merry Christmas! SRD. Hubby made me a medal hanger. It's amazing.
Merry Christmas everyone.
I'll be "sneaking" out for a run later, hopefully they won't even notice I'm gone, lol.
Wickedly Average
Enjoy the run, Mitch. I'm plotting now for a few miles this morning, but my brother in law keeps finding chores for me.

Merry Christmas Dailies!
Scheduled eating day for me!
I'm so vegetarian I don't even eat animal crackers!
Merry Christmas and peace to all of my running friends!
SRD for me, with lots of coffee, since DS was so excited about Christmas that he came into our room every hour between 2:30 and 6:30, when I finally got up to open stockings and make breakfast.
FIL and niece are joining us for Christmas dinner, and DS is trying to patiently wait until then to open the rest of his gifts.
20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.
Hope to get out for 5 today between breakfast and dinner, we will see ! Need to run off all the sweets from last night........I've worked to hard to lose the 50 lbs this year to let the holidays put it back on.
today's all about family and I'm thankful for my wife of 27 years and to have both kids here last night and today and missing my paramedic/EMT son in law that's working today.
merry merry everyone!

Q: Why do people take their dogs to the beach?
A: Because everybody loves Sandy Claws.
Enjoy your waffles and pancakes and families and snow.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Merry Christmas! I think I will hit the stationary bike today.
Be well and have a Merry day,

Got a nice little 4 mile run in today! Woo hoo! Overall 9:07 pace, with negative splits for 1,2,3, and a fast finish on mile 4, est 7:00-7:15 pace.
I think that those fast "Moth" finishes will help me kick better in races. We'll see next Monday!
