LRB...what kicks did you get?
DST 18's. After reading some favorable comments about previous generations from a couple of G's in the group.
Thanks Basya. I'm about to head out the door for a run, and for the first time in a while I'm excited about it.
SIAR - Those are some huge winds. How could that run have been easy? Lol
Go figure
Trying to find some more hay to restock the barn
West Coast checking in late. It's taper week for me, so only 3.25 easy miles on the mlll, followed by abs and upper body.
I hope everyone who was restless last night gets some good shut-eye tonight.
Life is good.
Skipped the gym and went for a really e slow and easy 3 miles. Felt good and relaxed.

Hi dailies:
Basya - hope you got rested up some
DaveP - are yoga classes usually that long?
Kay - hope you can get some quality LR's in before the half
Tom - good job on the 10
Luke - taper madness begins, eh?
Vegan Ang - hi
Adam - haha, been there. It was President's Day I believe, and I went in on snowy roads just to find out that I could have stayed in bed.
Kristin - take care of that knee
FLA - a wonderful day to you as well
lilac - good luck with the ITB rehab
Hilary - hope the orthotics work out for you
Jedi - bad runs just happen sometimes
April - so, how does the kitten know what time it is?
Robert - thinking dry for you
Bruce - Those winds are here now. They sound really loud sometimes with this as my neighbor.
DCDan - shorts weather
Baboon - will two weeks be enough, do you think?
Beth - nice job on another tough run
Scotty - great reports as always
Zelanie - tempo miles, good luck
Fuzzy - hi
Sarah - safe here yes, sound (mentally) is debatable
Step - getting things done is always good
B-Plus - some motivation that I once read..."Just put on your running clothes when you don't feel like running. Then your shoes. Then go outside. Then run."
Sparker - happy Monday
Freesoul - lots of 13's there, it's a perfectly good number
D - feel better
AmiK - hope DS gets well
SIAR - get a car that runs on plankton like Rick's
Rick - DST's
OOTB - shut-eye would be welcome
A welcome SRD after playing maintenance man at work for most of the afternoon.
Shirfan - Love it! I'll have to remember that next time.
Blue - What are you running?
It felt great to run 4.5 @ 8:18. I kept it easy, but my right ass cheek started to get tight near the end of my run. Probably from sitting on it too much last week.
Recovery run: 6.1 miles at 8:49 pace. I cut it short (had planned on 8) b/c my legs are trashed from yesterday's fast 20 and b/c I have a tempo run tomorrow at 9 a.m.
Wickedly Average
This may be one of the extremely rare times when I ran farther than you did!
Of course, I didn't run at all yesterday so I don't think it's quite fair. And my long 10 is half of your fast 20!
You're doing great!

You are excused. But just this once.
Thanks, Beth and Tom! You guys are a hoot!

shirfan - and I think my fave distance race is 13.1 miles.
Tonight's run sucked, not as bad as some but it definitely sucked. I couldn't get my stride right and I felt like I was dragging my toes, I am surprised I didn't trip. It didn't get better until around mile 3 and after, ugh... but I got it over with.

PRs
5k - 24:15 (7:49 min/mile pace)
10k - 51:47 (8:16 min/mile pace)
15k -1:18:09 (8:24 min/mile pace)
13.1 - 1:53:12 (8:39 min/mile pace)
26:2 - 4:14:55 (9:44 min/mile)
More commonly 60 min. Seems like the good ass-kicking ones at my gym are 75 min. Definitely kicked my ass today, I realized it has been 2 weeks since I did any. Really had to work out a lot of tightness all along the back of my legs. Can't imagine what would have caused that. And oh, the core work. Ugh.
Dave
Mmmmm...beer
Hey everyone!
8 miles @ 8:27/mile done this evening, felt slower tho, legs were heavy after my weekend runs. I had to get out there and run, it was 60* at 7:30pm in the middle of Feb, love it!

My running blog
Goals | sub-18 5k | sub-3 marathon 2:56:46!!
B-Plus- Glad you got back out there today!
SIAR- Yikes! That sounds like some serious wind! I am in awe of all of you who can run in the more extreme winter weather conditions.
outoftheblue- Enjoy taper week!
Scott- Glad you enjoyed the miles!
Shirfan- Sounds like not the best way to start the work week! Hope things are better tomorrow.
Heidi- It sounds like a good idea to cut it short if you need to be fresh for the tempo tomorrow. Hope that does the trick!
Freesoul- At least you got the miles in! My DD fought diaper changes pretty much the whole way through, but we got through it! And it still beats fighting about boyfriends.
DaveP- Nice job with the yoga!
D2- I can't wait until it's in the 60s again!
AFM- 7 miles done with 4@tempo. I'm pretty happy with that since I had actually never run more than 2 tempo miles without taking a recovery before. So I started them just a tad slower than my tempo range for the first two, then bumped the speed up by a notch each mile after that. I figured that would help me get past the "mental" part of the workout.
