I'm purchasing gear for my summer training while the prices are pretty low.

Never heard of it before.  The most useful thing a hydration pack can have is pockets on the front.  I love my ultimate direction pack.

          Running is dumb.

Never heard of it, but it doesn't look like it would work for me. It may work for you. To me, packs are like shoes - gotta find the one that works for you, both in terms of fit and function.

FWIW, most people I know use brands besides CB -  like Nathan, UD, Golite, Gregory, etc.

I use an Amphipod run lite 4 bottle belt and it works well.

I googled "top rated hyrdation packs for runners" and there were quite a few good options out there that seemed to rank quite high with users in reviews. I haven't heard of the one you listed.

I know a few ladies who like the Nathan packs.

I like the Camelbak women's versions myself.  These models are more catered towards a shorter torso, which is important for me.  I like how there are pockets as well.  Mine aren't accessible from the front (I have to take the pack off my shoulders or ask a running partner to help me out, but I'm ok with that.  I had to try a few models (thank goodness for REI's great return policy!) before discovering that the chest buckle strap really is key.

Add me to the list of Amphipod users. i use the one bottle version though. I guess hydration preferences are different for everyone, but that thing looks pretty big to me. Especially for summer running - wouldn't something that big be hot to wear, even if it did contain water?

Count me on the list of folks who have never heard of the brand.  (and note that those of us saying that are not beginners and very familiar with various packs.  Or think we are.  Ha.)

                        I appreciate the feedback!

I have handhelds, but would like a hydration pack. I was hoping to find someone in here that may have tried this. This brand reports that it is more stable around the body than Camelbak and they do come in gender specific models.

I guess I'll have to try each brand out to see what works for me.

                        Thanks!

I have a women's Nathan pack and I love it. I got it from Runningwarehouse for around $60 last year and I used it for all my summer long runs. Very comfortable.

Edit: Like Mandy said, front pockets are essential. Mine has two pockets on the straps - one is zippered and the other is for holding another bottle if you need it. I put my phone in the zippered pocket and sometimes keep a GU in the open one.

I have a small Camelbak that fits really snug and high up. I can't seem to find it online. It works great because it doesn't jostle at all. I have a bigger one that hardly gets used for running because it wiggles too much.

                                Thanks, ladies!

I'll check out the Nathan version for women. I did finally find the 2012 Annadel by Camelbak online. It was sold out just about everywhere. Maybe there is a 2013 in the works...
