Suggestions for a group name (Read 236 times)

She laughs at me......

Last Friday I started a thread asking for suggestions on a name for this group. Zero replies. Nada.

Maybe now that things have calmed down a little this thread will get a better response.

Discuss what you think the name should be.

      Friends from RWOL?

      Running is my mental-Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Why are we in this handbasket?

Your so funny Flippy. I love you. Big grin

              Friends from RWOL?

I have no strong preference but I personally would downplay the "RWOL" aspect, at least over time.  Unless you intentionally want to be the "those folks" as opposed to "this site's active community".

You really are a cross section with a strong attraction to the beginning runner... but are absolutely not all (or even the majority? heck if I know) truly beginners.

              I'd be fine with B and B.

But it's kind of a whatever.  If you go with Mouseketeers or Wang Dang Doodle, it's fine.  Depends on what you want the name to do... represent yourselves as is, attract new folks, be fun and memorable, etc etc etc

              Branding is fun.

btw: it does not matter to me what we call this place.

I agree SRL.  How about "Friends who run?'

I also like care bears that run. LOL.

I agree with SRL. We're not RWOL anymore. We started there, sure, but I don't want to be known as "them" anymore as I intend to stay here. Isn't it going to be dumb if a couple of years from now we're still referring to ourselves as RWOL refugees?

I never saw that thread. I like Beginners and Beyond. Why are we changing it?

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

To infinity... And beyond! It's fine as is, imo Mta: gummi bears > care bears

                          not lazy, just tired

I'd rather not have a name that refers to RWOL. I don't see anything wrong with Beginners and Beyond. I like B and B. Please not carebears and rainbows! And no ponies.

                            Not if it makes sense.

It's a chance for people to give their .02.
