Are we there, yet?

Sounded like a potential for a real sufferfest. That's a good time considering the conditions and your preparation.

Just to clarify, we didn't run up those 2 peaks in one of the first photos. But it sure was a grinder!

      Mmmmm...beer

I turned to the nearest HMer, said "this is a really bad fucking idea" and took off...

My favorite line, sometimes ya just have to do it.  Great race, especially coming back from an injury.  Nice work Jay!

Love your description, as usual.  But boo to the gumpy Oatmealer!

I think your math was missing the punch cards and lightbulbs.  Those might have saved you a few seconds.

Congrats on your race and on coming back from having to take so much time off!

I can't say much, except congrats on hanging tuff.

Ode to an Adirondack Warrior's mustache:

Hush little mustache don't say a word
Upper lip hair is very preferred
I love the way you bend and curve when he smiles
You keep his face warm and you do it with style

Great men in history had you under their nose
Charlie Chaplin, Ghandi, and Chewbacca, I suppose
You make other guys jealous and ladies swoon
With a mustache you'll be knee-deep in (insert censored word)

Hope you liked this poem in your honor.

Jay, you impress us all with your amazing speed and your even greater humility. You are as strong as a thousand mountains and you proved it once again. That was a tough race and you dug as deep inside of you as you could, despite the pain. That's a pretty awesome thing, as are those pics of you. We are all so proud of you.  Congratulations!

^ Excellent. Be careful though, now everyone will want a poem specially composed for their race report.

                Dave

Hahaha, I love the poem Lily.  Thank you. Big grin
