Am I in the twilight zone, or did D, April and Zel change their avi's to ones they had earlier this year?
Back from the movie, it was, well, what those are! lol The pizza and wine were deelish, which is all that matters!
Now to let this buzz mellow out...
My Avi looks the same on my end. I did actually post on the RWOL forum this week, and my old avi of my dog is the one I still have over there.
My Avi looks the same on my end.
It shows you standing in the pink top, not running in the yellow top. Maybe it is the browser this computer is using, I am not on my own machine.
Mine is still my boobs!
9 miles done. They were surprisingly easy. Celebrating I was wearing a Size 2 running skirt from runningskirts.com. So, I am shrinking!

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

It is. Carry on. ; )
Well the fun part about that is that I think that pink top pic was taken a year ago this weekend.

Is mine still a college mascot?
A bear? Yes;
Wickedly Average
So, what's the correct amount of beer to consume the night before a half marathon?

5K - 25:16, 10K - 55:31, 15K - 1:20:55, HM - 1:54:54
Hi Dailies! Good luck tomorrow Tom!
Late to the party because I had an evening 5 mile race. Here's a mini RR:
The weather: 70 degrees. Humidity negligible. (Sorry Damaris. And Scott. And all the others south of the Mason Dixon line...)
The Plan: This was not a goal race. This was just substituting for a tempo run, so my goal was simply sub 60. 12:00 pace, which is what I've been doing for tempo based on my last 10K. Further, the plan was to run it entirely on perceived effort, ignoring my watch, Just to see what happened.
The Outcome: There was someone calling out splits, so I wasn't able to completely ignore my time, but I tried not to think too much about it. Here's what they were per my watch:
10:09
10:18
10:39
Now I need to stop here for a moment and ask you to take a peek down at the 5k PR and goal down in my signature. Now look at those splits again. Wicked cool, huh? It got a little hilly after that, so the final two splits were 11:30 and 11:11. They posted unofficial results, which gave me a chip time of 53:47.
The Takeaway: Sure, I've been working hard to improve my fitness level, but there is no question that the lower temp and humidity were a huge help. Y'all kept saying this, but I didn't really believe it applied to me. I shall never doubt you again.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
I think you have a big 5K PR coming, granite!
