I have gotten so lost on some trail runs, but I would imagine in a race they would have it well marked... guess not! Did you ever find out what happened with Joe?
The turns were well marked with orange flags on the side you were supposed to go towards. It was trickiest on dry spots in the woods, where it sometimes became unclear what was the path and what was not.
Unfortunately I have no idea what happened to Joe, he could still be out there, lol. (But he was listed as the 5K winner, with 10K official results still not up.)
aaaand apparently I didn't even win. So confused, lol.

I stalked Bryan on athlinks, looks reasonable if he's good at trails. Maybe the RD initially thought he was a slower 5K finisher when he actually came though for 10K?
