The one marathon I ran I had my name on my bib, real one the name my parents call me. It was kind of fun but there is an area of town that throws big parties for the marathon. By the time I make my slow, plodding, pain-filled way to their neighborhood they've been drinking for several hours. It's a bit intimidating for 30 drunken louts to be screaming your name. It did keep me moving though, I mean no way you can stop and walk with that sort of thing going on. I love this town.
