Plantar fasciitis while resting, really? (Read 60 times)

I just got out of the walking boot as of Friday.  It seems that I've now developed a case of pf.  On one hand, having this happen while already injured is a good thing.  However, it is painful on the foot that already still has a lot of healing to go.  I've rolled it, iced it, taken aleve, and will stretch what I can with my sprain.  If it's not one thing it's another.  I've had a horrible last 6 months.  My grandma died, my husband almost died, my BIL died, I came down with a head cold turned sinus infection turned flu that lasted over three weeks altogether.  Then I badly sprain my foot on my first run back and now that that's healing I come up with this.  Someone put me out of my misery.

I may be slow but I never quit.

That sounds horrible! I'm so sorry to hear that you've been going through such a hard time. Things can only improve from here. Stay strong. I'm sending my best thoughts out to you. Hugs.

Thank you, Lily.  I'm doing okay mostly, just frustrated and waiting for my something good to come because there has to be something good.

Ditto the well wishes.  I've felt like the last month or so has been dark cloud month but things are improving.

Remember this.....nothing stays the same so "this, too, shall pass!"

Keep rolling it and stretching it.  If you can....also massage it deeply.  It's hard to get blood into plantar tissue and the rolling and massaging help that.

I have a Rubz ball and used it a couple times last night. Does a pretty good job. Hurts like hell but feels like I'm loosing or breaking up something. everyone, my husband included, has been telling me that perhaps I'm doing too much too soon. That became very clear to me yesterday and decided to go back to the boot for the workweek.
