Run for Boston bracelets have been shipped. (Read 269 times)

Dad on the run.

Ok everyone. I just order 50 bracelets. They are Blue with yellow ink injected lettering. I am sitting 5 of them aside for me and my friends. So I have 45 more. I want to wear these much like the run for Jenny bracelets. I am hoping that I run out of these 45 really fast and people will start ordering their own, or I can continue to order them and mail them out if people are willing to help me compensate the cost a little. If anyone is interested (and I hope you are since I just ordered them) please let me know. You can email me your information, Name/address and I will get them mailed out as soon as they come in. They should take roughly 14 days to arrive.

Lets get this going and show our support not only for Boston and the people their who witnessed this horrible event, but also to show that the running community can't be stopped and we are not going to be frightened by terrorism. I say we wear them until the next Boston Marathon!

      Dad on the run.

I will send them out for free, but if anyone is interested we can do a $2 dollar donation per bracelet and I will try and find out how to go about setting up a donation for the boston marathon. I know it won't be much but I think its something that would be really cool. Anyones thoughts on that would be very appreciated.

jblack, you might also want to put this out on the greater RA forum -- folks other than those in B&B would likely want to participate.

            Awesome idea!

When it's all said and done, no one remembers how far we have run.  The only thing that matters is how we have loved.

Beach - I am really hoping so. I am going to put 3 bucks as the donation. That will give me 1 buck to cover the cost and 2 for the donation. This sound fair?

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.
