I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but can't you just freeze a banana at home?

Balboa bars/frozen bananas and actual penguins....fun thread today! My cousin used to live on Balboa Island, it was her and her husband's first apartment after they were married. I have been there!
Well there was a FIRE during my 10K and they made us stop running. I ran less than 3 miles. BOO. I, however, wrote a RR anyway cuz there was other cool stuff about my day I wanted to share... report is up!

I wish I was kidding. The race runs under a bridge, and a car caught fire on the bridge. For safety reasons they stopped the damn race. I really am unlucky with 10Ks. Seriously. Either I have a major IT Band issue, it is deathly hot and humid, or they stop the race due to a FIRE. The 10K remains my nemesis....
You got me to read your RR....lol It sounds like you had an awesome day though. You look like you weren't expecting that hug though. Got your arms trapped haha.
Haha....I was about to put my arm around her and she threw her arms all the way around me! She is too cute!
Zelanie - No they are not recommended for PAD. They help blood return from the legs, I have problems getting it there in the first place.
I have the opposite problem. Blood just likes to pool in my legs. I wonder if there is anyway they could put some of my veins in your legs. I can't complain though. I just have to take an Aspirin a day and wear tights. If I don't wear tights, I just have to elevate my legs after a run.
PAD - good for you keeping on running despite the pain of PAD. My husband had it, and was able to restore circulation by doing a lot of walking and hiking. He hasn't had any problems for years. OTOH, a friend who had PAD stopped walking because of the pain and ended up having a stroke at age 49.
Oh, OK, that's the opposite of what I was thinking.
6 really nice miles for me tonight. The cross country team was out practicing on the trails, which at least kept things interesting.
