Dave, didn't you get a cortisone shot at some point as well?

also, have we gotten an update on Jay's ass?

You know I did, and you probably know the date, since  you maintain all the medical files.  That was based on the torn meniscus diagnosis. It was only 6 weeks later when I went back for a follow up (with a different guy in the same practice) who said the meniscus likely had nothing to do with it & in fact the cortisone shot probably did nothing.

Have not seen an ass report from Jay recently.

Great. Now we have two of them...

EDIT: I should have quoted Eric and Damaris.

Well, the cortisone might have helped.   It's just a strong anti-inflammatory so it could have eased up whatever was going on.

Ok Lily, here's the deal. I won't be talking about the Dew Point anymore unless you talk about it first Big grin

Dave, you had a month long streak recently. And you've been running 6 days a week in a steady way for the last many months. When we get to a certain age, rest days do us a lot of good. I say take it easy for a few weeks. Maybe 2 or 3. Run only 5 times a week, maybe with a bit less miles per run. After that, you can re-evaluate. I don't have much faith is specialists and I try to avoid them when I can. Rest and a few choice exercises work for me when I'm hurt.

I have to ask: is it dew point or dewpoint? THAT is what really matters to me.

I am not making any promises, especially since our bad dewpoints have not started.  I reserve all my rights to bitch about it until November.

There is a strong case to be made for that approach, and it is one I am considering.

It sucks getting old.  If I had started running a bit earlier, it would've been better!

                        It beats the alternative, though.

                        You Rang?

What, Damaris?  Five Guys Burgers is the one declaring bankruptcy?  They just opened a store here in San Antonio.   And now they'll be shutting down?  Already?  Say it ain't so!  You need to hurry up and fix them, then!

I'm sure that it is the local franchisee or operator that is in BK land and not the national company.  They must be doing some really interesting accounting (read theft) to get into bankruptcy.  I don't know their pricing or cost structure, but  do wonder just how a place selling massive quantities of greasy food to Americans gets into money trouble.  It seems like there is ready market for the product.

Dr. Hanson says I should rest today and rest I shall.  I do miss the pool that I had access to my old place, because rest days = swim days in the old place.

And I'd like to apologize for vaguebooking in yesterday's dailies.  I have a bunch of difficult work stuff to wade through and am now realizing the consequences of some prior decisions I made.

I'm simultaneously in the process of moving my office into bigger space and firing a bunch of clients.  I'm moving to accommodate more employees to help with the work I've got.  I'm firing the clients because they either  make me crazy, or have owed me money for a long time or make me crazy and owe me money.

As to the consequences of my prior actions, I agreed to teach at my alma mater, the Fowler School of Law at Chapman Univ.  I am an Adjunct Professor teaching one class.  Yet the time suck behind this commitment is going well beyond the time spent with the students.  There are meetings and other things to go to.  I'm sure if I added up all the hours I spend at the school and divide it by the wage in the contract, I'll be making less than minimum wage.  Maybe I'll take down my shingle and become a full time professor.  Maybe not.

Nah, you don't need shenanigans to get into bankruptcy.  It's just a management dispute and they have a buyer already.  They are doing well.

And yes, only the local franchise located in the place I mention I travel a lot for court.
