Barking Mad To Run

A lot of you are enjoying the day off today, so jealous!  Most of San Antonio workforce is off today too, but for the university it's business as usual.  By Texas Legislature law, we have to be open so many days a year, and this is one of them because we then get to take a few more days off around the Xmas-New Year's holiday.

Dang Marjorie, you were up early today!

Have fun in FL, DaveP!  Will you see Damaris while you're there, or will you be too far from where she lives?

Good luck with the long run tomorrow, Phil.

Wishing you a strong and satisfying 6 miles, Damaris.

Good luck with your miles, Hobbit.  Nice of you to take you FIL around.

Dang, Lily, that sounds like a very busy day, and then you're going to run too after all that?  Super Woman!  Congrats on guaranteed entry into Chicago!  You and Damaris FE-ing...talk about Great Legs photo opportunities!    Yeah, LRB, please attend!  With camera!

Basya, what is considered a 'short' run for you...anything under 10 miles?  Enjoy your run.

Glad the ankle is feeling somewhat better, FreeSoul.  Trail running is nice, enjoy!

    Barking Mad To Run

Good luck with your race tomorrow, D2!  Sub-18 is the goal, right, if I remember correctly?

(((Lauren))))....hope you will soon feel 100% and kick some running miles' butt!

Handy Person Marjorie!  Umm..showers have cartridges?  Shows you how much of a handy-man I am, lol.

Enjoy that Spring Break, Jack!  With your family's hectic schedule you earned some time to yourself.

Nice trails, FreeSoul!  That one 'rooty' uphill looks kinda tough.

Run to live; live to run

Haha yes Scotty. Most do. It is their version of a washer I guess.

It it hasn't started raining yet but it will. We are in for some really big and very strong storms.

Scotty, surprisingly that is the toughest hill, even with all the roots lol. It is a little hill too, I wish I could run those trails everyday rather than only once a week.

I am so proud of my little man! My mom and I took Dorian hiking at Wesselman's Woods this afternoon (a pretty much flat area) and Dorian ran/hiked by himself for over 1 mile before wanting to be picked up, I'd say 1.2 miles in 24 minutes!!! He's got some short little legs but he doesn't let that stop him. We hiked for a total of 1.4-1.5 miles  and I probably carried him only about .2 near the end, so excited about my future trail running buddy!!!

Lol, my only concern is becoming one of those obsessive or over-competitive parents......... I want him to have fun and want to run with me, not force him out there.

Heck, that one was logged on GPS. I bet he easily cover 1-2 miles a day at the shop, but I am very seriously considering going to Wesselman's at least 3 times a week to let him run/hike.
