Tonight during my tempo run I broke one hour, well 59:20 during my 6 mile run and I feel pretty good about it....... just wanted to post

Cool. Reaching a sub-10:00 pace is very cool, indeed. Congratulations
now you're starting to cook. Way to go!!
I feel really good about it! I keep dropping by the minutes (or seconds).
You may be right
Well done.

Nice, that 5K PR seems primed to fall.
In the words of my late-coach : Just hang in there, relax... and at the end of a race anyone you see.....just pass them
Thanks, I am excited. My first race is in February (5k) and I cannot wait, I expected to break 29 minutes but I honestly think I could break closer to 25-27 minutes. Last night's splits were:
Mile 1 - 10:13
Mile 2 - 10:23
Mile 3 - 9:46
Mile 4 - 9:56
Mile 5 - 9:48
Mile 6 - 9:12
I think I can do better, mainly because my legs were still a bit tired from Sunday's lunges and squats. I am sure that if I warm up for at least a mile before the race starts, I should be able to stay near 9 minutes.
