WEDNESDAILIES - Great To Be Back On Top! (Read 233 times)

Purple Toes

MtnBikerChick: I wish I lived out your way, b/c I would join up in a heartbeat. What a great cause. Best of luck to you!

Tom: That was a rock star 10 miler today - great pace!!! Well done!!!

Melissa: Enjoy the easy miles!! Are you losing your mind during your taper?

SIAR: HOLY INSANE INTERVALS!  You are crazy fast. I hope the double goes well!

Purple toes: Great job on the tough tempo run.  You did it!

I am going out for burgers and fries with the hubby and kids tonight.  That RULES because (a) I usually can't go out to eat at night b/c I'm running; and (b) I can't eat junk when I run or I get sick.  WOOT for rest days (or, *cough, cough*, a rest week).

Thanks rmt3b Smile  I hope you enjoyed your burger/fries splurge tonight! Gotta make the most of your rest week!

      Hi dailies:

Weezer - it was quite a temp change here as well, 60+ to low 30's in less than a day

Lily - happy b-day to DD

Heidi - awesome that you celebrate St. Nick's day with the kids.  My family did that when I was young, and my friends were like "why would you get oranges in your stocking today, it's not even Christmas!"

SIAR - the faster paces seem tougher to hit in practice.  Locking onto MP or HMP is easy, 5K not so much.  I always start to second guess if it should feel like the first mile, or the 3rd.

10.2 recovery miles, 7:52 pace.  Just me and a few hearty walkers out on a blustery afternoon.

Tom...Nice job on your 10...made me envision you corkscrewing down a never-ending ramp.

Actually, it looks just like this....

In retrospect, I'll take a different walkway down the hill next time.

Shot pool tonight - did pretty well.

Six quarter-mile repeats at a 2:00 (8:00-mile) pace and abs are done. I warmed up with a mile at 5.2mph (11:32) and a 2.0 incline. As usual, I did the repeats at a 1.0 incline. I cooled down by going back to a 2.0 incline at 5.2mph (11:32), until I totaled 4.50 miles for the workout.

Yes, Kristin, I ran down that thing today. Went back up a different way though!

I've walked it many times, but it doesn't lend itself well to running. 3 steps and turn, 3 steps and turn, ....
