Need to get the post em thread going over at RWOL but I think it will get shuffled in no time to page 6.
I signed up for next year. Now I am not sure what's going to happen. Thoughts everyone?

I disagree. Sad is when something bad happens and there is little or nothing that could have been done to prevent it. In this case though, there were many, many things that could have been done. I'm not remotely a tech type of person but even a person who is only semi-tech literate like me can think of:
1. Restricting the number of times you can post in your first week.
2. Immediately suspending your account when someone reports you for spam.
3. Allowing volunteer moderators to delete threads.
4. Attaching an automatic suspension to the account of anyone who has a thread deleted by a volunteer moderator for spam.
5. Prohibiting a poster from posting links until a certain number of posts.
That's just stuff I can think of. Surely those with more than my minimal knowledge could have thought of many, many more. RWOL has done nothing. Just nothing. And that is not sad. It's unfortunate but it's not sad.
Sorry. Not busting on you but this isn't the first time the forums have been essentially shut down due to spam.

It's sad that RW doesn't care about their users.... And sad that parent company would let this happen to their brand.

Atleast the SPAM has been appropriate. I mean all we've had was sports related SPAM and maybe an occasional one about illegal passports. I mean we could have had "male enhancement" SPAM or "hookup / porn" SPAM.
This is G-rated SPAM. For that we should be thankful.
Well, there were those constant single runner ads....
I saw one borderline x-rated spam this morning, it was a topless girl. The last time this happened, there were a few more x rated spam posts....
Oh yeah, that did happen. Wasn't a regular occurrence though. I'm surprised anyone even opened any spam threads, I assume it was accidental.
