Fargo, anyone? (Read 72 times)

StepbyStep-SH

Just wondering if anyone else from here is running Fargo next weekend. I'm running the full and a couple of friends are coming along to run the half. And I think that Dian (guest2345) and her sister will be there (Dian for the full, her sister for the half).

    Anyone else?

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

Fargo is a great race, the town really supports it.  Run hard!

Take Charge. Train Harder. Suck Less. No Excuses.

Not running hard this time. Training has not gone well - Dian and I are going to just run for fun together. My original plan when I registered was a BQ attempt, but I'm nowhere near that right now.

        Brrrrrrr

        Uffda

I live in Fargo, a few miles from the Dome. I'll be running the Half for the 2nd year. Is Dian selling medal hangers at the Expo?

I don't think so this year. She moved and isn't working at the same job, which I think was part of how she was able to make the hangers.

Hard to believe there are not more people in North Dakota! Wink

Very true. I guess the fewer the people in the state the better the budget. Honestly though I think the Fargo Marathon is a fast course, that's well organized, that's accessible (it's on 2 Interstates and we have an International Airport) and has great crowd support. Although I may be a bit biased. Big grin

I've heard only great things about the race, though I hope you can turn the wind down just a little for us. What you folks consider a "light breeze" is likely to blow me clear off course!

I've run Fargo a couple of times but I've pretty much changed to the Lake Wobegon Trail Marathon.  The first year I did them both which is what got me into the Marathon Maniacs, but these days I just do the Lake Wobegon one.  I think it is faster.  I got another PR there this past Saturday.  I did like the Fargo one though.

I'm going to store that race in the memory bank. Right up my alley.
