Happy Birthday, Lurch!!!

DaveP MI, nice nine. I'm happy that you're feeling OK and on the mend.
Zelanie, I hope that you're having a pleasant rest day.
Marjorie, brava on the 6.2.
outoftheblue, no bueno, indeed. I hope that you had a pleasant five-miler.
Phil, sweet sweaty seven.
My first speedwork session of this training cycle is done. I warmed up doing a mile in 9:59, then did five quarter-mile repeats at 2:05 (7.2 mph)/1:55 at 3.0mph (20:00). I extended my final burst to 2:50, until I totaled 3.1 miles.
Y'all know I did this on the TM, right? It was 89F with a dewpoint of 70F when I left work. I'm not crazy enough to do speedwork in that.
I'm on my way home to do push-ups and ab work.
UPDATE: My Garmin 620 now has bike mode. Sweeeet. Thanks for pointing that out, Docket! And thanks to the dailies for starting the discussion that led to this great and wonderful discovery that I otherwise would not have had.
FYP, yo.
I know that's right. lol
It's actually been decent here the past couple of days though.
I didn't even know about Garmin Connect until a little over a year ago and was still using Garmin Training Center to create my workouts
Well if it worked, hey it worked!
I see a planned break from running in my future...
Because your Garmin won't work?
Does you DH know that?
Yes.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.
