In the summer, we live in St. Peters Harbour, Prince-Edward-Island. There, I run on red dirt roads, in sandy dunes, on miles of beach, and also on the Confederation Trail, which is a 470 km walking/running/cycling trail that stretches from one end of the island to the other. The rest of the year, I live in urban mediocrity, so I choose to face a wall instead.

We are planning on visiting PEI this coming September ... hopefully for two weeks.  Your photos just confirmed that we've made the right choice!!  Thanks for posting them.

September is our favourite month there. Less tourists, warm water, beautiful glowing light from the September sun. The days are still hot, but the nights are cooler and perfect for sleeping. You will love it!

Great pics so far, such varied environments we live in.

Here is one that I should do more often in nice weather -- the Bird Island pier.

One of my favorite places on earth. Don't own a place there but only live 3 hours away and have been

there over 20 times. It was our fav spot for family camping when the kids were growing up.

Two of my personal shots from PEI. As if you really need convincing to go there Smile That's ours youngest

          in both photos.

My long runs follow this river for most of the distance. These two photos are about 7 or 8 miles apart along

the river taken in opposite directions.

This is also my cycling commute home. It's 15 miles from work to home and my rides home are so relaxing

(except for all the hills, this is the one flat stretch) looking at the river most of the way. Great way to de-stress

            after work.

The winters here are cold, snowy and long and can suck badly but it's gorgeous here and summer is just about

perfection for the 8 weeks it lasts Smile

It's a good thing he has those arm warmers on.  Otherwise he might get cold.
