Obvious answer is to grin (grimace) and bear it. You're not getting any younger and it's just part of the game. Maybe bring a wooden spoon to bite on during your training runs. But not on marathon day - extra weight will slow you down.
Or you could go to the doctor.
If I do DNS, then at least I'll go down knowing I gave it everything I had. Probably not the wisest course of action but at least I'm going into it with my eyes open.

As others have mentioned, get a diagnosis at the very least. Then you can make an informed decision. No one can make you stop twerking.
