Just wanted to say the welcome and the forum are amazing.  Thank you so much.  As you can see, we are a family; dysfunctional at times and a little crazy, but a family nonetheless.  It's great that we are able to stay together.  I've been on RWBF since 2003 and on my miles team since 2005, so coming up on my 10th anniversary here.  Or there.  Or wherever.  But with these crazy people.  Big grin

I love the way I can setup my "workouts" tab to look the way I want it to.  Once I have added the fields I want, I can sort by pace, HR, distance, etc.  I have noticed that I can't sort by VO2Max, which I guess is derived from distance and duration.  Is this a capability you can add?

Did you set the "last post viewed" to happen just by clicking on the thread name? Thank you! If you didn't, somehow that is what is happening for me, and I love it.

That was a feature that got shipped yesterday.  See the tech support area of this forum.

And... well, it's not like he checked some box on a form and blam the feature worked.  That feature had to be written from scratch.  And if you consider what you'd need to know in order to go to the last read post on each thread, individually for each user, individually... that was not the world's easiest feature to do efficiently.

To keep everything fast, I had to write database queries in a particular way.  Because VO2Max is currently calculated on the fly, it is not sortable.  I will consider storing the calculated values in the near future to enhance sorting and searching.

I could crank out features faster, except you guys post so much and I get distracted.  I am hoping that I will regain my focus soon, which means you'll see less of me in the forums and more time spent coding.

Eric, since you're here, I'll chime in with one more ...

I do many workouts on the track, and record them using a GPS enabled watch. The resulting intervals upload in fractions of miles, but it would be nice to have them entered in meters in even multiples of 100.

                        For example, with this workout

                        http://www.runningahead.com/logs/d26d1f92e9364902b342c967337b0cc8/workouts/bfb33a1d4bef4da1adfe18aeb64ff5dd

The intervals would be 1600m and 400m in length. This is pretty painful to change by hand right now. For me, it would be nice to check or click something that would indicate this is a track workout, which would have the system could apply some logic and automatically convert the intervals to metric, rounding off to the nearest 100m. Not sure many others users would have use for something like this, but I know I'd use it.

                        Little Blue

I skimmed through the thread, but if this has been brought up I missed it.

Hopefully a DOH! question.  Until about yesterday, threads that I had read showed purple.  Now they don't.  Even though I read some of them today.  I logged out/in, and they are all still blue except what I've read in the last few minutes.

Trivial, but is this something easy?

                          eric :)

                            scrape,

This is only a display issue.  The data is stored in the original distance unit, which is meter for Garmin devices.  I'm in the process of revamping the training log.  I'll find a way to display these intervals in meters.

                            eric :)

This is caused by a change I made yesterday such that when you click on the thread title, it'll bring you to the first new post in that thread.  The system has to remember where you left off in a thread.  Since it is newly introduced, it doesn't know what you've read and not read, which is why everything is displayed as not read.  Give it a few days and then everything should behave as it should be.

So would it be able to automatically correct the Garmin distances and adjust the calculated pace accordingly? When I run a lap around the track, I would imagine the Garmin rarely records 400 meters exactly. What I am really interested in is an automatic correction of the recorded distance. For example, if I run 4x400 and the Garmin records 410, 397, 408, 415, could there be a feature that would correct them to 400m when told the workout was run on a track?
