race obsessed
Yup, Jeff Kirk is a fast 50+. I have run against him several times in various distances. He usually takes masters or near it in the larger races.
And 1st place womans is affiliated with my training group, She is pretty quick, though that was not her best showing. (and she still stomped the field)

Not much to say really. It was cold at the start (40) but I warmed up pretty quick and felt pretty good. Ran a good race unofficial 34:30. Saw 1st place in 50-54 was 17 something and 4th was 22 something. Fast old guys out there! My video of the tunnel when I ran through was too jumpy so I did it driving out. Here's the entry and tunnel video.

Yeah, you would think as we live longer, we'd outlive at least some of the competition! I'll be 60 next year and change age groups....but does it matter? No....one of my friends who does a lot of the same races I do is 64...and runs a 7-minute mile! Sheesh.
Congrats on your race, PAD!

Nice work Pad.
Those lights were neat, especially the tunnel feature.
