Skirt Runner
....continued from my previous post....my phone cut me off and doesn't let me edit..... I think I am going to try for a PR (on Labor Day at my 10K). I think running 102:XX 10Ks during a 15K leaves no excuse for a 1:04:45 PR. So I am going for a 1:01:59 next Monday.
PRs: 5K- 28:16 (5/5/13) 10K- 1:00:13 (10/27/13) 4M- 41:43 (9/7/13) 15K- 1:34:25 (8/17/13) 10M- 1:56:30 (4/6/14) HM- 2:20:16 (4/13/14) Full- 5:55:33 (11/1/15)
I started a blog about running :) Check it out if you care to

You'd just smile less at that pace. That's all :-)
Thanks meaghansketch! Running Wizard has some deluded idea I can run a 9:41 pace for my half. I am aware I have not done the speedy part of my plan yet....Anaerobic and Coordination are still to come.....but I honestly HONESTLY don't see myself going almost 30 seconds faster per mile for an extra almost 4 miles in less than 2 months. I was not completely wiped at the end of this race but I am not sure I could have sustained a 10-ish pace for 3.8 more miles, let alone a 9:41.... you have done RW meaghan.... how much do the Anaerobic abd Coordination phases really help you get faster? I will certainly be asking thr forum for help when I get closer to my half but I think a 10:00 pace is as fast as I will try to go.... as for the 10K I won't attempt sub 60 til November, but on Labor Day I th

I am a bit reluctant to comment on this because I have seen *so many* people have really good experiences with the later phases of Running Wizard and I seem to be a bit of an exception in that they didn't seem to have the same effect for me. For the record I think my prediction for the half was an 8:41 pace; my actual race pace for the half ended up being around a 9:17. Four months later, though, I ran an 8:42 pace for a half, and and then my next half a couple months after that was an 8:35 pace, so I think the fitness was there, it just doesn't always show up on race day.
As for the 10K I think if you're hitting 1:02 and change for 10K -DURING- a 15K, you can aim beyond sub-1:02 for your next 10K. Maybe not sub-60 but I see no reason not to go out around 9:50 pace-- that'll get you around a 1:01 and you can always adjust around mile 4 depending how you're feeling. All this assumes the weather is favorable, etc. And that you _are_ willing to be 'completely wiped' at the end of the race-- it will be worth it!
Very cool...congrats and nice pics too!

Bumping thread "to get the word out".
I ran the 20 miler here a week ago. A pretty amazing course and I guess the longer distance, takes it up through New Hope, which scenery-wise, must be the pick of the litter. I loved it.
A well run race and two more installments are coming up next month.
