Exercise and depression (Read 84 times)

rather be sprinting

I didn't talk about this here, but part of the reason for my absence during injury was that I sunk into a pretty bad depression.  I was having crying fits and anxiety attacks regularly.  Now that I can run again it's basically gone away.

Not sure what to make of that. Sad

    PRs: 5k 19:25, mile 5:38, HM 1:30:56

Lifting PRs: bench press 125lb, back squat 205 lb, deadlift 245lb

    LRB

Thankfully, I do not really get depressed.  If I did, I would be a stark mad, raging lunatic what with all the time I spend on the bench each running season:

      Year 1 - 5 weeks

      Year 2 - 7 weeks

      Year 3 - 5 weeks...and counting.

Ironically, in the 11 years prior to that where I was a workout-aholic, I was never injured.  I guess running is bad for you.  Roll eyes
