      From the Internet.

        I have a race?! What??

07/25 Lauren710 - Blessing of the Fleet 10 Mile Road Race

        Mmmmm...beer

July is going to be a fun month.  My club puts on a summer series on Tuesday evenings, three fun races and then a 5k to raise money for our scholarship fund.  The fun races are all four milers, with lots of local craft beer after each race.  I wasn't able to do these races last year due to work, so I'm really excited to get to do them this year.

          7/8 - Dtothe2nd - Summer Series I

          7/15 - Dtothe2nd - Summer Series II

          7/22 - Dtothe2nd - Summer Series III

          7/29 - Dtothe2nd - TSMS 5k - goal: sub-19

For the first race, everyone estimates their finish time, and we do a staggered start, the goal is to have everyone finish together.

The second race is a random relay, teams are picked at random and everyone does a 1 mile leg.

The third race is new for this year, it's a poker run.  You get a card at the start and then a card each mile and the best hand wins a prize.

What I deserve is a sub-3:25 (like I also deserve to win the lottery, of course)

What I would be delighted with is a sub-3:30

              What I would tolerate is a sub-3:40

              What I expect is a sub-3:45

What I'll probably finish in is somewhere around 3:50

shrug... Let's just go with "if I finish I'll be happy".
