As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

I AM DONE WITH PT AND THAT FEELS REALLY GOOD TO SAY!
PT Girl said I can start running now. I looked at her and laughed.

That's what I was thinking
I just walked into Chicken Shack and ordered a side of cole slaw to go and walked out. Judging from the weirded out looks I got, you would have thought I was wearing a shirt that read I voted for Newt Gingrich lol.
That happened to me at a Church's Chicken once. I always remember the weird look the guy gave me when he said, "What... no bird?"
And I did vote for Newt Gingrich once. I was in his constituency in Cobb County, Georgia and didn't really know much about him, but voted for him anyway because he graduated from the same high school I went to. That was a ridiculous reason in hindsight and I got exactly what I deserved for being so stupid... Newt Gingrich continuing on as my congressman.
And I did vote for Newt Gingrich once.
I wasn't judging there, just trying to draw up the most ridiculous analogy I could.
At one point there back in the day though, Newt had the world by the balls.
I didn't think I'd made the full 12 miles in 95F but I did.
14 miles w/ 8 @ 6:50. I'm looking forward to some easy days, with 2 big MP runs and a tempo and the last 6 days.
We made it through all of July without a drop of rain. That has never happened before.

Long but good day. Paddled 5 on the Ocoee and ran 3 with the beer run group. I'm going to bed.
I'm just a SIAR/Jay wannabe.
