And FTR, before I got sidelined there is a race I was planning to do this weekend, and they also give out hats. No pie that I am aware of, but it is the "Chocolate Run" and has a postrace buffet loaded with a wide variety of chocolate items. I was looking forward to it just for that.

I think I would enjoy that race.  That 5K I'm doing on 12/7 has hot chocolate and sugar cookies at the finish.  They hand you one cookie.  Last year I asked for three and they gave them to me.  I'll be doing the same this year.

Speaking of post-race food, the plan for the Philly Marathon is to cross the finish line and immediately seek out a Philly cheese steak.  I hope I am in the mood!

 

Maybe we should make that the theme of Free's next marathon.
