Sugnim I would do that but I have paranoia and cannot leave the house if the stove is hot. I have a french press for the weekends and it's ammaaaaaazing. I just found out from a coworker that you can actually make your own coffee in the Keurig so I wouldn't have to buy all those Kcups, so now it's officially on my list.
Beth, I've got my fingers crossed that I win the Run Like a Princess sweepstakes. I have my registration already but have yet to bite the bullet on airfare and hotel. I have a place reserved but I think I'm going to cancel, it's $200 a night with a lot of beds but I don't have anyone to share it with! The people I'm running with are crashing with a friend, and I just can't stay with strangers, ugh.

Hey bs, we share a birthday! I'll be 39. No really, I will.
Our dog just had emergency vet care this weekend, so our holiday budget got blown. $890 bucks and I hate ham even more now. Damn ham bones & relatives! But she looks like she will pull through(it was touch and go for about 24 hours there). 9 years old and the sweetest thing ever, how can you not try to save her no matter what?
So we are just putting a bow on her head and calling it good. I will get a pair of Soft Star leather boots I bought last February on their annual clearance sale that I have waited nearly a whole year to open & wear. Those will be for my birthday(the 26th). Our kids will get a board game to share and Santa will bring the a book each. But seriously, that is it. The dog literally ate our Christmas.
Beth, just as long as you say hi at the expo or somewhere I'll be happy! I think I can get a hotel for much cheaper.

I wish I had done that, but I put the gear I wanted on my wish list, and I think that between husband/parents/in-laws, someone is getting it.
This is my third winter in Minnesota, and every year I come up with new things that I need for winter running - this year I want mittens, since this is the first winter where I have to do really long runs in the coldest part of the winter and I'm already tired of having useless claws for hands two miles into my run. Opening a gel with zero grip strength is an interesting process.
Meanwhile, I haven't gotten any new summer running gear in about three years, other than race shirts and a single pair of shorts I bought cheap at TJ Maxx. Maybe that's what should have been on my wish list :P
Other than that, I just want a couple of cookbooks and CDs. No bigger items on the list this year. Though, I would not be surprised if my husband buys me a Nintendo 3DS. I'm a nerd and have a DS that I play on, and from some questions he was asking, I wouldn't be surprised if he got me one of the new ones.

I understand that's been discontinued. DW bought one and loved it. She tried to get a price match when the product was discontinued and prices chopped shortly after she bought it. They wouldn't honor the price match so she just returned it. She didn't want a discontinued product that would have no further development on it. #coolstorybro

OMG they have changed so much!! I used to drive a 2005 but sold it when gas went through the roof. I'm the first to admit the 05 body style was UGLY. This looks hot though! Enjoy!
I asked for a pair of new running shoes. I have three pair in rotation and two are getting up there in miles. So it's time for some new ones!
