Talk to me about Hansons (Read 73 times)

18 weeks is seemingly like an eternity.

Amen. My last two cycles ended up around 15 weeks, and just when it was time to taper, had me feeling like if I was touched I would shatter into a million pieces. I think 18 is too long for me.

Lots of good advice here....thank you!

I like the site that compares plans...thanks for that. I will spend some time with that and look into some other plans as well.

My goal will likely be finishing upright with no death march. But I don't want to eliminate all speedwork and just run all easy miles 100% of the time.

My biggest weaknesses are being injury prone, so I do not want to exclude crosstraining because I really do believe that balancing running with crosstraining keeps me healthy, and while the temptation is there to add more run days and get rid of things like spin class, yoga, and strength training, I really think those other things benefit me more, so running 6 days I am not sure will help get me to the start line injury free. The other biggest weakness is my work schedule during the week. I work long hours, therefore I cannot do runs longer than 6.5 miles on a weekday and get more than 4 hours of sleep. Unless I get faster.
