I'm so proud.  Have you had any good cat calls lately?

Hey... huge congrats, you sexy guy! Big grin

The only cat calls I remember are from my last race, when I was told "Looking great, babe!" and "Looking good, doll!" by two very very old Bermudian gentlemen who had obviously forgotten to put their glasses on that morning. Big grin

Aside from that, I never get any cat calls. My TM is a well-behaved machine. :-)

Right at the beginning of Monday's run, a guy on a bike calls out "hey, nice butt". I didn't look back, he was like 20 feet from me and going the opposite direction so there wasn't really any point to acknowledge him, and I wasn't prepared Smile

I usually hear things like "AWWEBBBBBBPPPLLLRRRRAAAAAA"  I'm paraphrasing, of course, but that's pretty close to what it sounds like.  I can never make out what people yell from cars when they yell at me as I run.

          Express it.

While out doing laps around Lake Tabeaud, I was going in the opposite direction to two "cowgirls" on horses. First two laps they smiled...third lap they grinned and said something that was rather flattering. I thanked them and went on my way. I was too busy running to tell them that I was old enough to be their father.

We can let the circumstances of our lives harden us so that we become increasingly resentful and afraid, or we can let them soften us, and make us kinder.
            We always have the choice.

I think it's hilarious when early 20 something guys catcall something about my "butt" or "hot bod",,,,

,,because usually my head/face is covered up with a hat and they have no idea probably older

              than their Mom's.Big grin

                  Ultra Cowboy

My latest one was in a small regional park where many trails wind around a 216 acre park.  I'd passed by a couple of ladies walking their dogs a couple of times on different trail loops.  One shouted out "how many laps you done?"  My reply was simply "One too many!"

No, just the usual car honks whenever I'm running on my one route that follows a main road.

                      Mostly Harmless

Just the usual "Run Forrest!" from the idiots that think this is original humor.  Most likely these are the same people that will say "Beam me up Scotty" and then look confused when I don't fall over laughing.

I get "woo!"d at sometimes, mostly by teenaged boys. One time last summer two boys, maybe 14 years old, were walking and I passed them. One of them said "Oh yeah, keep movin those legs, you're almost done!" I ignored them of course, but I kind of wanted to say "thanks, but I have 3 miles to go!"

Another time was more recently, about 3 weeks ago. I was running around my neighborhood after work (it was dark) and passed 3 boys walking, maybe 16 years old. One of them catcalled me. I briefly wondered how they'd feel if they found out I was nearly twice their age.

Various honks and yells, none of them very funny or original. I usually shout back "Thanks, I'm here til Thursday....try the veal!" and wave(it's a Shrek movie joke).

I get more positive cat calls "You're hot"  than I did when I was larger bodied(like OP must have been) "You're fat", etc.

I find it oddly entertaining that people even feel the need to yell anything at anybody while out in public, both positive or negative. I am not out here for your amusement, stop harassing me with words I didn't ask for your opinion or judgement. I guess I just don't get it.

Heh.  That's pretty much what I make out too.  I do occasionally get the, "put a shirt on old man" when the weather warms up.

Short term goal: 2:59:59 (November, 2013)

Long term goal: To say I've been a runner half my life.  (I started running at age 45).
