        LOL.

They are, after all, the Damaris HEAT, so I'll root for them.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Since Timmy D is a Wake Forest boy, I have to root for the Spurs.  As the story goes, he came to Wake on a swimming scholarship.  Coach Dave Odom saw him playing a game of pick-up basketball and said, "Come here, son."  And the rest is history!!  Sadly, I graduated just before he arrived, so I've never seen him play in person.

When it's all said and done, no one remembers how far we have run.  The only thing that matters is how we have loved.

            LOL.

            D- We still like you.

Hopesmom- Duncan is one of the best to ever play. Labron gets all the pub and endorsements, but I like Duncan.

Are you a fan of the Spurs making a homer pick, or do you seriously think the Spurs can take out the Heat in six games?

Mavericks in 6. Wait. That was 2011. We disbanded our team after the championship.

They'll tell you that failure is not an option.  That's ridiculous.  Failure is always an option.  It is the easiest and most readily available option.  It's your choice though.

Is this what Americans sound like when we attempt to talk hockey? Smile

Spurs in 6.  Like Tim Duncan and Coach Pop.  Not based on logic.  Why should a fan be logical?

Overall though, the NBA playoffs this year were entertaining.

I'm gonna go Miami in 7. They are certainly having some issues, but overall I think the East was probably tougher to get through this year. Should be close.

No strong feelings about either team, but my sense is to buy American -- Miami's big 3 are all from the good old US of A, while SA has a Frenchman, an Argentinian and a Virgin Islandinian. (Or do they just call themselves Virgins?)

And to paraphrase SNL: I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more Birdman.
