Congrats on the PR! I know there was a lot of uncertainty going into this race, but you held it together and did a fantastic job! Good luck on your upcoming marathon debut!
Thank you!!! Yes there was A LOT of uncertainty which is why I didn't want to let others know my goal

Despite the tired legs a well done marathon cycle is almost ideal preparation for a HM in my mind.
Last time I did a marathon, I dropped my HM time from 2:06x to 1:56x
Twice through Daniels Marathon plan, with some slight adjustments to account for the HM goal (especially in the M pace workouts), drops that further to 1:46x
Lets hope that Theory holds again for me this time.
I did just put out my best ever race (per VDot or equivalence calculators) at my 10k on Saturday.
So
Wooo HOOOOO
YOU CAN DO EEETT!!!!!
5K 20:23 (Vdot 48.7) 9/9/17
10K 44:06 (Vdot 46.3) 3/11/17
HM 1:33:48 (Vdot 48.6) 11/11/17
FM 4:13:43 (Vdot 35.4) 3/4/18
Lol, just wait you guys... here in a couple of days I am going to be freaking out about the marathon, or at least the tapering part of it. I've got one last good long run this Sunday, an 18 miler and then I will begin my 2 week taper and really start freaking out lol.
What a strong race you had. Things are shaping up for a successful first marathon.
I hope so, thank you!
