Only the important things......plaid capris tights? Yay or nay (Read 364 times)

I don't have any capris and I find these oddly interesting. But I can't decide if it's a good interesting or a bad interesting. I would wear them with sold colored shirts, so I wouldn't be too crazy patterned looking. But I might look like a golfer who got lost on the trail(oddly enough, I live and run by 2 golf courses).

    Yay or Nay?

I wouldn't personally wear them, but I'm boring. If I saw that on you, in that color (grayish tones), I'd like it, though. Innburn has some in a Christmas pattern and I think it's just crazy. But then, I'm boring. Big grin

I vote nay just b/c I feel like they'd make my butt look humungous and they are a bit too wild for me.

Lol! Girl, I am built like a teenage boy....I tend to buy things that actually make me look like I have a butt(or hips....or boobs.....) so I'm not too worried about that, I just can't decide if they are cool weird or just weird weird. And yes, lily, I would get the muted gray color. They have it in blue but that does look a bit obnoxious and then I also couldn't wear just any old solid color shit with it like I can the gray. My short sleeve shirts are gray, red, blue, lime green, and black. all solid, all the same shirt(an OCD I have about getting something I like in every color they make it in).

lol! Find the hidden "shit" in that paragraph! Where's the damn autocorrect on this thing, lol!

It's strange that having a wild pattern on a top, or on a skirt, seems acceptable to most of us, but when it comes to pants, or capris, we cringe. It must be because we're not used to seeing patterned pants often. I agree that a busy patterned bottom with a solid colored top sounds very reasonable. Post pics if you do get them!

I clicked on that expecting to see like....tartan plaid or something.  Haha.

That plaid isn't bad at all.  I kind of like them.

              My wildly inconsistent PRs:

They are pretty cool, I like them. But they are sold out.

                Go figure

I subscribe to the peacock theory - the louder the better.  Unfortunately, guys running clothes tend to be pretty blah.  Anyway, I say yay.  Of course, I do play a lot of golf too, so maybe that's why I like them.

Sold out there, but not on ebay.

edit: okay so you all talked me into them. Done purchased! Look what else the seller had:

                    um, yeah, I think not.

I like them, I'm glad you went for them!  Also, I own those second pair that you posted, but in a dark blue/aqua blue color combo, which is a lot better looking than the green and white.  I like crazy pants.  Smile

I really like the plaid ones you posted.  So cute!

The green and white elf pants....well.... not so much.

I like them!   It says they are sold out though.  I have a pair of neon lime plaid shorts.  I am wearing them when it's 90 and humid.  I run past the golf course and I don't care if I look like a lost....something.  They are cute.

I love them, but I'm partial to plaid.  I am a bit thicker in the butt and legs so I'm not sure it'd be a good look for me, but I think you could totally pull them off!

I like them, but then I wear these ski pants (the brightly colored madras plaid ones):
