TuesDAILIES: Everybody's doing it (Read 39 times)

    Snow?!

    You believe that shit?

Everybody's doing it? Not me. Rest day again.

So I arranged a big meeting this week for all our field sales people coming into town, and pulled off the major score of getting a suite at the Tigers game (and getting the expense approved by management). My reward: snow, and predicted game time temps in the upper 20's, with wind chills in the upper teens. Hurray. I guess it's good I didn't get regular seats.

So: the Tigers game was cancelled tonight. For Plan B, we went bowling. Actually it is a bar, that happens to have a few bowling lanes. (LRB: Lucky Strike.) I even bowled, which I haven't done in ages, just to be a team player. And even broke 100. So a good time is being had by all anyway. Except now I am stuck with a suite for whenever they reschedule this game. Will figure something out.

I have been to the restaurant and club a dozen times but never bowled there.  That is a nice spot though, I am sure everyone was impressed!

Someone in another FB group posted that the Boston finish line was evacuated due to suspicious packages:

I have not seen anything about this in the news, though.

Did 11 miles, starting in 90-94F (5 miles), proceeded to the TM for 1 mile, then ran 5 miles with hubby.  Scattered but without missing more than 2 minutes total in between all runs.

              Hey everyone!

Spent the last few days at the inlaws, which of course means no internet.  But it also means great mountain running and hiking!  I love it there.  We hiked McAffee's Knob on Saturday, 8 miles round trip, about two hours each way, great hike, with an awesome view!

The some easy trail/mountain running on Sunday, followed by another great hike on Monday, this one was Sharp Top at Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  This one was only 3 miles round trip, but a lil tougher terrain, so still a good hike.

Weather sucked tho, got to the top and saw nothing but fog! lol

Did 5 easy miles this evening when we got back home.

Hope everyone is doing well and had a great weekend!

Even with the fog, those look like great hikes, Dave!

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

Worked 12+ hours today.  It would have been shorter, but I was at a job fair with my boss and she locked her keys in the car.

But when I got home, I put on my finisher's shirt from Sunday's race, and my Kinvaras that were delivered last year on April 15, and I went out for an easy 6.  Because that is just how I roll.
